Activated carbon adsorption is mainly to remove organic waste gas (VOC), the odor of water, natural and synthetic dissolved organic matter, micro polluting substances and so on. Most of the larger organic molecules, aromatic compounds can be firmly adsorbed on the surface or voids of the activated carbon. The results showed that humus, synthetic organic matter and low molecular weight organic matter could be removed effectively . It has a good adsorption effect on organic waste gas and odor, and the treatment efficiency is over 80%.
