PP water tank material introduction

PP water tanks are more and more widely used. In the industry, many tanks and acid metering tanks that were previously made of carbon steel or stainless steel are gradually being replaced by PP water tanks, especially for some more corrosive applications, such as hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, nitric acid, and hydroxide. The storage of sodium and other acid-base solutions and the use of acid-base liquids require corrosion resistance and acid-base resistance. Generally, PP water tank is the preferred material.

How high temperature the PP water tank can withstand

Xicheng Environmental Protection uses PP sheets and pipes to be processed into PP water tanks. Some customers have inquired about how high the temperature of the PP water tank can withstand. This problem is actually a shortcoming of the PP water tank. The high temperature resistance is determined by the characteristics of the PP material. Generally, if the PP water tank is used for a long time, it is recommended to control the temperature at 60-80 degrees Celsius, try not to exceed 80 degrees Celsius, the instantaneous temperature can reach 100 degrees Celsius, but it is not recommended to keep it for a long time.

Features of PP water tank

• Non-toxic, odorless, low density, strength, stiffness, hardness and heat resistance are better than low-pressure polyethylene, and can be used at about 60-80 degrees.

• It has good electrical properties and high-frequency insulation without being affected by humidity, but it becomes brittle, non-wearing, and easy to age at low temperatures.

• Suitable for making general mechanical parts, corrosion-resistant parts and insulating parts.

• Common acid and alkali organic solvents have almost no effect on it and can be used for food utensils.

• Fire-retardant materials are widely promoted fire-retardant materials.
