The dust scrubber tower, also known as a dust scrubber or wet scrubber tower, is a pollution control device used to remove particulate matter and other pollutants from industrial exhaust gases. It is commonly employed in various industries, including power plants, chemical plants, steel mills, and manufacturing facilities, to reduce air pollution and comply with environmental regulations.

The main principle of a dust scrubber tower involves using a liquid (usually water) to capture and remove dust particles from the exhaust gas stream. The tower consists of a tall cylindrical structure with a packed bed or a series of baffles, trays, or filters inside. The exhaust gas enters the tower and comes into contact with the liquid, creating a scrubbing action.

As the gas passes through the tower, the dust particles collide with the liquid droplets. This collision causes the particles to become wet and adhere to the liquid. The liquid, which now contains the captured dust, is collected at the bottom of the tower and subsequently treated or disposed of properly.
