Alkali scrubber is a kind of waste gas treatment equipment, which is usually used for the purification of industrial acid and alkali waste gas. Among them, it is used for acid mist waste gas, so it is also called acid mist absorption tower. In addition to the treatment of acid mist waste gas, the PP alkaline scrubber produced by Wuxi UPC can also process other waste gases, such as ammonia (NH3), hydrogen sulfide waste gas, VOC organic waste gas, domestic waste waste gas, and waste combustion waste gas.

Internal structure of PP alkaline scrubber

  1. Defogging layer: generally separated by a grid plate, with filler placed on it, and the height of the filler layer can reach 500mm. In order to improve the demisting efficiency, the PP alkaline scrubber produced by Wuxi UPC can be equipped with a plate type mist eliminator.

  2. Spray layer: The spray layer is composed of spray pipes and nozzles. According to the diameter of the PP alkali washing tower, the density of the spray pipes and nozzles is different. Using high-efficiency nozzles, the spray is uniform and the flow is large and not easy to be blocked.

  3. Filler layer: The filler layer is placed on top of the defogging layer and the spray layer. The main fillers are multi-sided hollow spheres and Raschig rings. The packing layer in the PP alkaline washing tower is used as a mass transfer device for the contact member between the gas and liquid phases. A packing support plate is installed at the bottom of the packed tower, and the packing is placed on the support plate in a random manner. A packing pressure plate is installed above the packing to prevent it from being blown by the updraft. The spray liquid of the PP alkaline washing tower is sprayed onto the packing from the top of the tower through the liquid distributor, and flows down along the surface of the packing.

  4. Window: Also known as the detection port, the usually formed window has two specifications of φ500mm and φ400mm. The main function of the window is to observe the operation of the PP alkali washing tower, replace the packing, and repair the nozzle.

  5. Live ball valve: Mainly control the switch of circulating water.

  6. In addition: the circulating water tank is also an important part of the PP alkaline washing tower. The water tank can be flexibly set up and connected to the PP alkaline washing tower body or not.
